What to Put in a Movement Log Sample Before We Visit
Incomplete logs cost you money and cost us field days. Here is the minimum export format that lets us chart accurately on the first pass.
We lose one to three field days on roughly one in four engagements because log samples arrive without the columns we need for interval charts. That delay is billable under our scope terms and avoidable with a ten-minute export check.
Minimum columns for turnaround work: flight identifier, stand number, scheduled on-blocks, actual on-blocks, chocks-in, passenger door open (if tracked), GPU connected, fuel start, fuel complete, boarding start, boarding complete, pushback request, off-blocks.
Minimum columns for traffic mapping: aircraft identifier, movement type (arrival/departure/tow), taxi entry point, hold point timestamps, runway or stand destination, vehicle conflicts if your system logs them.
Send 30 consecutive days covering at least one peak bank and one shoulder period. CSV or Excel is fine; PDF exports of screen shots are not — we cannot reconcile them against field times.
Name a liaison who can answer "why is this timestamp missing?" within one business day. That person saves more money than any rush surcharge waiver we could offer.
